Last night I discovered the awesomeness that is Wordle. It’s a site that allows you to paste in a bunch of text from any source, and it creates a word cloud based on your text. You can personalize your Wordle by choosing from any number of fonts, layouts and color schemes. For writers, the best part about it (I think) is that the more often you use a particular word, the larger that word will be in your Wordle. It’s a good way to see if you’re over-using certain words.
I pasted in a chunk from my current WIP, messed around with it for a bit, and here’s what I came up with.
And hi, do you think maybe I use my character’s names too much??
